Excerpts from the Daily Courier Kelowna – February 28, 2009 following Mr. Choi’s performance
with the OSO February 27, 2009

After intermission, cellist Arnold Choi applied his artistry to Antonin Dvorak’s Cello Concerto. Choi’s parents from Alberta were present at this concert; how immensely proud they must have been.
It was one of those performances where the soloist knocks the ball clean out of the park. Tone, technique, and heart, Choi has it all. Moreover, his playing seemed to elevate that of the entire orchestra.
At the concerto’s conclusion the audience erupted. Besides the applause and bravos, there was whistling and shrieking. One might have thought Choi was a rock star, but star he is, indeed.
